Copyright and DMCA
We respect copyright and expect everyone on Deep River to do the same. If you believe something here uses your work without permission, you can tell us on this page. If your own music was taken down and you think that was a mistake, you can answer with a counter-notice.
How it works
- Send a notice. Use the notice form below (no sign-in needed) or email our designated agent. Include everything in the list below.
- We review it. Sending a notice opens a case. Nothing is removed just because a form was sent. With a valid notice, we remove or disable the material promptly and tell the person who posted it.
- The poster can respond. If they believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, they can send a counter-notice. We forward it to the person who complained, and we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they've filed a court action.
- Strikes and earnings. Each valid notice against an account is a copyright strike, and three strikes close the account. A counter-notice that leads to restoration removes that strike. While a claim is open, that track's earnings are held.
Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make you liable for damages.
File a notice or a counter-notice with the forms below. You can also email the agent. Nothing is removed when a form is sent. The rules live in the Terms, section 14.
